Reverdy Biotin is a nutritional supplement (small granules) for the hooves, coat, mane and tail of horses.
- A source of biotin, sulphur-containing amino acids, protected vitamins and easily absorbable trace elements.
- Contributes to the improvement of the quality and growth rate of the hoof wall and its integrity.
The sulphur-containing amino acids (methionine, cystine) are precursors of keratin, the constituent protein of hoof horn, coat, mane and tail. This structural protein derives its rigidity from the sulphur atoms present in these amino acids, which are linked together by covalent bonds (disulphide bonds).
MSM is also a source of organic sulfur.
The supply of easily absorbable copper and especially zinc ensures good keratinization and therefore healthy integruments.
At a dose of approximately 20 mg per day, biotin (vitamin B8) improves the growth rate and hardness of the hoof wall.
Vitamin B5 participates in the renewal of the epithelium and integument. It promotes wound healing and hair growth.
Vitamin B6 is involved in the metabolism of amino acids and proteins. In particular, it participates in the synthesis of cysteine, a sulfur-containing amino acid that is the precursor of cystine.
Vitamin A is involved in the synthesis of proteins and plays a role in the integrity and protection of the keratogenous epithelium.
