Vitalbix Breed & Grow is a unique, high-fibre muesli formulated according to the latest insights in the field of nutrition for pregnant mares, foals, young horses (up to 3 years) and stallions. Breed & Grow is rich in fibre, low in starch & sugar and contains a balanced level of easily absorbable vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Breed & Grow provides healthy energy from fibres and fats, supports healthy gastrointestinal function and keeps pregnant and lactating mares in good condition. Vitalbix Breed & Grow supports healthy growth of the foal and the development of strong bones, tendons and joints.

Vitalbix Breed & Grow is a concentrated and complete feed with a high dosage of vitamins and minerals. This allows you to feed approximately 30% less than regular feed.

Pregnant mares:

  • Month 1 – 7: Choose Vitalbix Daily Complete, Vitalbix Balance+ Muesli or Vitalbix Active+
  • Month 8 + 9: 200 – 300 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse should be fed 1 – 1.5 kg per day.
  • Month 10 + 11: 300–400 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse should be fed 1.5–2.0 kg per day.

Lactating mares (at pasture):

  • Month 1 – 3: 400 – 500 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse should be fed 2.0 – 2.5 kg per day.
  • Month 4 – 5: 300 – 400 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse should be fed 1.5 – 2.0 kg per day.
  • Month 6: 200 – 300 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse should be fed 1 – 1.5 kg per day.

Foals before weaning:

  • 4 – 6 weeks before weaning: 50 – 70 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 200 kg foal should be fed 100 – 140 grams per day.
  • At weaning: 150 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 200 kg foal is fed 300 grams per day.

Foals after weaning:

  • Month 6 – 12: 150 grams per 100 kg body weight. A foal of 250 – 300 kg you feed 375 – 450 grams per day.

Young horses:

  • Month 13 – 23: 150 – 200 grams per 100 kg body weight. A young horse of 300 kg you feed 450 – 600 grams and per day, a horse of 400 kg you feed 600 – 800 grams per day.
  • Month 24 – 36: 140 – 180 grams per 100 kg body weight. A young horse of 400 kg you feed 560 – 720 grams per day, a horse of 500 kg you feed 700 – 900 grams per day.

Stallions:

  • 200-300 grams per 100 kg body weight. A 500 kg horse is fed 1-1.5 kg per day.
